the evolution of industrial design from a necessary
and pragmatic step in the product design and development
process, into the cornerstone of a company’s brand name.
More and more, consumers are looking beyond function
and utility to emotional connections elicited by product
designs. Over time product design consultants have developed
a more complex matrix from which to hone a product’s
essence and company’s brand.
