Sub-Zero collaborated with Cesaroni Design
throughout the new product and development process for the Built-In
Refrigeration Line. Configurations include Over-Under,
Side-by-Side, and All
Refrigerator and All Freezer models.
New food preservation capabilities drove the redesign of this
product line. The project team developed specialized storage
compartments to maintain proper temperatures and humidity levels
for longer food life expectancy.
Our product design and development process with Sub-Zero is
extremely interactive. The project began with hand sketches
to generate as many valid concepts as quickly as possible. As
the new product design progressed, our industrial designers
created 3D renderings in SolidWorks, PhotoWorks and PhotoShop
software to further validate aesthetic and functional design
options.
The industrial designers created ergonomic diagrams to ensure
easy access to items. We design parts and assemblies in SolidWorks
and electronically share them with our client for review.
The new product design earned both an EID Silver from appliance
DESIGN Magazine and a Good Design Award.
