Anti-Icing Liquid Sprayer

Ossian teamed with Cesaroni Design to create the first sidewalk sprayer for the application of liquid anti-icers. Prior to the Ossian LS, hand pump sprayers or a backpack with a spray wand have been used, but neither are ideal or in some cases, safe for icy winter conditions. To effectively realize the vision of maintenance teams using liquid anti-icers for sidewalks and steps at a facility, a specialized sprayer needed to be developed.

The Ossian LS is the new winter tool for state departments of transportation, building maintenance teams, snow plow companies, landscapers and the average consumer. Its outdoor "sporty" aesthetic design gains recognition in the market place.

The Ossian LS is easy to operate by users wearing heavy winter clothes in freezing temperatures. The product is designed with spray equipment to melt ice on sidewalks, staircases and hard to access areas. Its 5 gallon de-icer tank holds the anti-icing liquid. The end-user pushes the Ossian LS at a comfortable walking pace along the walkway, similar to an independent snow blower. Holding down the spray trigger activates the two main nozzles on the front of the product. The spray width can be adjusted by the boom control lever for wider or narrower sidewalks.

To de-ice stairs and hard to access places, the wand sprayer can be used. The end-user simply removes the wand from the holster on the side of the unit, uncoils the necessary amount of hose and points the wand at the area to treat while squeezing the trigger.

The housing and base structure of the Ossian LS are injection molded ABS. The handle is bent steel tubing, and the anti-icing tank is blow-molded polyethylene.
