Natural Choice and Cesaroni Design redefined
conventional freestanding water coolers with the introduction
of this new appliance. The product design process focused on
developing a compact appliance for office or home use.
Design exploration began with concept color renderings to assist
the design team in evaluating forms, colors options and product
graphics. The design direction was narrowed down to one distinctive
form with three color selections.
The new product is constructed of an injected molded ABS enclosure
with an internal steel frame. The appliance connects directly
into a tap water supply. This design element eliminates the
need to continually replace a reservoir.
The product automatically dispenses filtered drinking water
either cold, sparkling (carbonated) or hot. The product features
two control panels both ergonomically placed for easy viewing.
The touch panel is rear-screened graphics on polycarbonate.
The filter is easily accessible by opening the front access
door.
The new product was recognized with an EID Silver award from
Appliance Design Magazine for the new appliance design.
