Project Description: Furniture Systems

Design Team: Cesaroni Design & Bretford Manufacturing

Cesaroni Design and Bretford Manufacturing collaborated together to design and develop the Focus ™ 30L for storage, security and charging of laptop computers in both the educational and professional environments. The cart is equipped with hinges that pivot 270, allowing the doors to fold flat against the sides of the cart. "The Brain," is a microchip technology that controls the temperature inside the cart during charging, decreasing heat while proportionally distributing charge to laptops.

Cesaroni Design assisted Bretford Manufacturing in obtaining preliminary tooling and piece part prices from plastic molders. The new design integrates one piece plastic top and bottom parts to the main cabinet. This integration reduced the number of parts, simplified assembly and decreased cost.
